Nadia Maverick – The chick with spunk. I love her, she’s
absolutely everything I wish I could be. She has this way about her that will
make you laugh and enjoy reading her story. You might be wondering, well
Ashley, who and what is she?? She is a news reporter in Cedar Rapids , Iowa
who can’t keep her nose clean. She always has to be into everything, it’s like
April O’Neal but in modern times.
Now you might take pause at that comparison (for those of
you who don’t know, that’s the news reporter who teamed up with the Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles) and wonder, does this news reporter fall for some green
turtle friends? Well – the short answer is no. The long answer is protagonist
does team up with an antagonist whose history and back story is based on
ancient teachings (like that of Splinter and his turtle sons.)
Now I know you are probably looking at the screen and
thinking, what the hell has Ashley made this time…But I assure you, give me a
day, maybe two and you will love this character and this book. Maverick Touch:
The Cat is a fiction/mystery that is a bit April O’Neal meets Dexter. The two
will form something special. What it is, I can’t tell. You will have to wait and
read it.
But I will tell you this … She isn’t your everyday reporter
and the book isn’t solely about her reporting on the news, that’s actually a
very small part of the book. She has a family, siblings and parents, who will
torment her and keep her on her toes. So be on the lookout for Nadia and her
family. They are going to be around for a while and I assure you … the troubles
just begun!

If a dream is a wish your heart makes, can it hear those
things we want even if we don’t what they are? When sorrow brings young Lucy
home to a land full of mystery, steeped in tradition and coloured with unspoken
magic, she finds herself re-evaluating her life and her own place in it. Things
are never what they seem and people are seldom what you THINK them to be if all
you base it on is what your eyes see and not what your soul knows. There’s a
fine line between destiny and duty, but when both are blended with love, who
knows what miracles can occur at Christmas.
